Since December of 2016, Badgerland Birding has been a Youtube show dedicated to bringing fun facts and experiences to viewers. Prepare to travel all around the word as well in search of cool animals.

Birding Wisconsin’s Desert – Sand, Cacti, and arid desert. Sounds like the southwest right? This particular desert is actually in Wisconsin tucked behind the cliffs of Sauk County. Join us as we search for some species very at home in this dusty environment.

Hilton Head Urban Birding – Follow Badgerland Birding for their second video from South Carolina. The developed areas of Hilton Head Island create a unique environment were animals and humans have adapted to living side by side.

Birding the Beach in South Carolina – Join us as we search for birds along the coast of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. This episode features several Wisconsin rarities such as Willets, Laughing Gulls, and a Marbled Godwit. Some birds that are never found in Wisconsin at all appear in this episode as well.

Boreal Birding (Part 2) – We head back to the Boreal Forests of northern Wisconsin in search of some of species we missed out on during our first trip. Get ready to experience great looks at winter finches, Spruce Grouse, and Bohemian Waxwings.

Searching for Solitaires – We brave the snow and ice to traverse the beautiful trails at Devil’s Lake State Park to look for a rare winter visitor: The Townsend’s Solitaire. These birds come through the state each winter, but due to the fact that they prefer nearly inaccessible terrain, they are always an adventure to try and locate.

44 Species on New Year’s Day – It’s a brand new year! That means that everyone’s annual totals are back to zero and every birder has a clean slate. It’s always nice to go out and see as many species as possible on January 1st. In this episode, we head to the Sheboygan lakefront and work our way south to Milwaukee. On the way we find some very cool birds.

Gold Rush – The rolling bluffs of southwest Wisconsin are home to the majestic Golden Eagle. These eagles make an appearance in winter and can be found by driving the winding roads and looking to the sky. Join us as we search for these Wisconsin rarities.

Boreal Birding (Part 1) – The north woods are home to some of the most elusive birds in the state. Join the Badgerland Birding crew as we search Forest County for Boreal species and winter finches. Some notable species in this episode include White-Winged Crossbills, Red Crossbills, and Evening Grosbeaks.

King Eider in Milwaukee – The first ever episode of Badgerland Birding is here! In this episode, we search for a rare King Eider that was reported in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Along the way we get great looks at other winter duck species such as Bufflehead and Black Scoters.
